Noom may not sound like an app for musculoskeletal health - but it sure is! As an orthopaedic surgeon, patients ask me all the time what actions they can take to improve their joint health and prevent arthritis in the future. One of the most impactful things we can do is to reduce and the excessive impact and pressures it places on our joints. Noom helps you do this in a fun, interactive way. Although ultimately, it helps us control what we put into our bodies, it does it by helping us understand the psychology behind our appetite and our habits. It also helps track exercise and activity levels to help adjust recommended food intake accordingly. It uses interactive features and daily short lessons that keep us engaged every day. Noom is definitely worth the 10-15 minutes it asks for. Now go eat those 'green' foods!
Pros
Easy to use; engaging; educational.
Cons
Can be a bit pricey for the subscription - but totally worth it if you are committed to losing the weight.
